Arc de Triomphe at Sunset – Long Exposure Print

Description

The same monument an evening later and a world apart. This is the Arc de Triomphe at the end of blue hour, the last orange of the sunset still burning low behind it while the sky overhead has already gone deep blue and violet. The exposure runs long enough that the traffic circling the Étoile becomes pure light: red tail lights sweeping one way, white headlights the other, the whole roundabout reduced to two bands of colour across the base of the frame.

Shot from low and close on the cobbles so the arch fills the frame and leans slightly back, monumental, the sculptural reliefs on the piers catching just enough light to keep their detail.

This is the classic Paris print without the postcard. The colour is held rather than pushed, and the motion is what carries it. It works over a sideboard, a bed, or a desk, anywhere a single strong image can do the work of a whole gallery wall.

Printed to archival standards. Made to order in satin photo paper, framed, stretched canvas or gloss metal.
